Overview

Hubspot and Parallax terminologies are similar, but identical.  We've written this article as a tool to help keep track of which fields in Hubspot map to which fields in Parallax.

Terms: Cheat Sheet

Parallax Tip - I don't see a Field

If a HubSpot field or term is missing from the table above, it does not visibly show up in Parallax. See examples below.

Hubspot Field Parallax Field
Deal Name Project Name
Pipeline Pipeline
Company  Client
Amount Target Budget & Target Revenue
Deal Owner Sales Owner

Deal Stage Stage
Close Date / Target Start Date Start Date

Fields:

Deal Name > Project Name

Your HubSpot Deal Name will populate as the Parallax Project Name. This name is used throughout Parallax. Highlighted below is the Project Detail Page, which can be viewed by clicking on the Project Name in the Sales Pipeline list.

The Name of your Project is owned in HubSpot until the deal is marked as closed/won and moves to the Active Projects list in Parallax - then you can edit it within Parallax.

Pipeline > Pipeline

Pipelines will only be seen on the Sales Pipeline listing page within Parallax (though you can see a lit of Pipelines under Settings > Integrations. If you are looking for a specific deal and it is not listed, confirm that you have synced that Pipeline or Pipeline stage in Settings > Integrations or that you have Included the Pipeline and Stage in your filtered view.

Deal Stage

Deal Stages are referred to in Parallax as just Stages.  They'll be shown along with their certainty percentage on the Sales Pipeline page, when in the Pipeline, and as a hotlink in the Project's Integrations Tab.  Like Pipelines, Stages are managed under Settings > Integrations. mceclip10.png

Amount

Amount in HubSpot has two different names in Parallax: Target Budget and Target Revenue. Target Budget can be found on the Sales Pipeline listing page and within the project's Financial Settings. Target Revenue can be found in the Project Detail page and Shaper as well.

The Target Budget/Target Revenue cannot be updated in Parallax until the deal is marked as closed/won and moves to the Active Projects listing page, after which it can be updated in Financial Settings.

Custom HubSpot & Parallax Fields

Parallax Service Offering

Parallax Service Offering is a field unique to HubSpot for users who integrate with Parallax. This custom field allows the Deal Owner to select a Service Offering Template from Parallax to give a predetermined plan to reflect the estimated cost of the deal. As you can see below, within Parallax the Service Offering has been identified and populated. The screen shown provides the details of the Service Offering selected. mceclip4.png

Target Start Date

Target Start Date is another field unique to HubSpot for users who integrate with Parallax. As mentioned above related to Closed Date, the Target Start Date will populate Start Date in Parallax if this custom field has been populated for the deal.mceclip5.png

Fields that don't show in Parallax

Deal Type

Deal Type categories identify if a deal is from a new or existing business opportunity. This is not seen within Parallax.

Priority

Priority is for Sales facing prioritization in HubSpot and is not shown in Parallax.

Closed Date (conditionally)

Closed date in HubSpot is the date on which the deal was officially sold. This does not equate to anything in Parallax, unless a Target Start Date is not entered.

If within HubSpot you do not enter a Target Start Date, the Closed Date will show up as the start date in Parallax.

Contact

Contact for the sales deal is not included in Parallax. It is best practice to provide the delivery team with a point of contact(s).

Add Line Item does not integrate with Parallax.
