At some point, you may decide to transition from your current timekeeping system to another—whether that’s switching to a system Parallax integrates with or moving to Parallax Timesheets. This is a supported and relatively smooth process, but there are a few important steps to ensure a successful transition.

1. Notify Your CSM or Contact Support

Before making any changes, please reach out to your Parallax Customer Success Manager or submit a ticket via Support. Be sure to provide a target changeover date, as we will need to schedule this work with our Development Team accordingly.

2. Confirm Integration Compatibility

It’s important to verify that Parallax supports integration with the new timekeeping system. We recommend checking in with us before committing to a change so we can confirm compatibility and avoid unnecessary disruptions.

3. Export Time Data from Your Current System

Parallax strongly recommends exporting all project and timesheet data from your current system. This export will serve two critical purposes:

  • Historical reference for completed or on-hold projects.

  • Continuity of data for in-progress or upcoming projects that require time data to be carried over from the old system into the new system.

Important: If you disconnect your current timekeeping system before exporting this data from old system and then importing to new system results in all historical time actuals lost and cannot be recovered.

4. Complete the Re-mapping Template

Our Support Team will provide you with a spreadsheet export of your clients and employees. You’ll be asked to complete this so we can remap all users and projects with their new timekeeping IDs. This ensures a clean and accurate transition to the new system.

5. Allow Time for Processing

Please plan for a 7–10 business day turnaround for this transition. While it may be completed sooner, requests are scheduled in the order received alongside other client work. We’ll do our best to meet your timeline.
