Connecting to Jira

Jira Field Mapping
Connect Existing Jira Project
- Click "Connect Existing" in the Jira section.
- After clicking "Connect Existing", you have the option to enter the Jira Project ID or select from a list of your Jira projects in a typeahead search.
- Next, select the Ignored Statuses, Issue Types (story, bug, enhancement, etc) and their respective Effort Fields, and the Effort Amount. Effort Fields are custom fields that you are using to track effort in points or hours in Jira.
- Click "Sync & Save" to connect. Once connected, you'll see the Workspace, Project Name, and Effort Completion, and you'll be able to Sync your data.
Provision of a New Jira Project
- Click "Provision New" in the Jira section.
- After clicking "Provision New", select Project Type and Template. If you select the "Team Managed" Project Type, you'll need to also enter the Access Level. Click "Next" to keep moving.
- Select your Ignored Statuses and the Issue Types you'd like pulled into Parallax with their respective Effort Fields.
- Click "Sync & Save" to connect. Once connected, you'll see the Workspace, Project Name, and Effort Completion, and you'll be able to Sync your data.

Disconnecting from Jira will put effort tracking on hold. It will not remove any effort tracked to date.
Click the "Velocity Report" button to see the effort-to-hours burn up against the backlog and estimate at complete.
